Privacy notice
Last updated: October 2026. This notice covers the UIBrief website, waitlist, purchases and the UIBrief browser extension.
The extension
- Runs only where you click it. UIBrief reads the page only on the tab where you activate it (icon or shortcut), to show and copy styles. What it reads (styles, markup, screenshots of the element you pick) stays in your browser and goes only to your clipboard. We never receive it.
- No account, no analytics, no tracking. The extension stores only its settings on your device: install date (for the 7-day trial), your license key and a usage counter used to ask for a review once.
- License check. If you activate a license, once a week the extension sends the license key to our license server (a Cloudflare Worker) to renew yearly licenses and detect refunds. The key contains your email address and order number. Nothing else is sent.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, the language of the page, the site that referred you (if any), and the date and wording of the consent you gave.
- Anonymous counts: page visits (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and clicks on the pre-sale button (at most one per browser session), per day. No cookies, no IP address, no device fingerprinting.
- Purchases: handled entirely by our merchant of record (payment provider). We receive your email and order details from them, never your card data. We store your email, order number and license key to deliver and renew the license, and email the key to you (via our email provider).
Why
To email you about the demo, the Founder pre-sale and the launch, and to measure whether there is enough interest to build the product. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where it is stored and for how long
Waitlist and license data are stored by Cloudflare, Inc., including on servers in the United States. We keep waitlist data until 12 months after launch, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. License records are kept while the license is valid and for as long as tax and consumer law require.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your data. Infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, our email tool and our payment provider) process it only on our behalf.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or to stop receiving emails, at any time: contact@your-domain.com. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
